Gandalf vs Harry Potter in a High Sorcery Showdown
01/12/2001 Source: Jessica Martin

The Galactic Senate: polls & voting for December 2001.

Nothing gladdens our heart more than to see democracy in action in the science fiction and fantasy world. If you feel the same, dear user, then here's our current and past online polls, as voted for by many a fine fellow (you too can vote, but choose wisely) ...

Gandalf vs Harry Potter in a High Sorcery Showdown.
This enchanted forest ain't big enough for the two of them. The boy prodigy of sorcery, Harry Potter, is pitting his mystical skills of wizardry against the great legend of Gandalf himself. Can callow but vigorous youth overwhelm the wise old bones of the scourge of Middle Earth? You must vote now, dear user?

Gandalf totally carries the day. What, did you ever believe that a mighty wizard, member of the White Council, the driving force behind the quest to destroy the Ring, ambassador of the Valar and mightiest of the Istari, could ever be beaten by some punk kid who hasn't even learned to shave? What did you think was going to happen, he'd get savaged by Harry's owl or something? Get a life. Gandalf would blast Potter into plankton.
Harry gets lucky and gives Gandalf what for. Harry has survived the evil predications of Voldemort - the most feared wizard of all time - some old bloke who hangs around with little people with big hairy feet isn't going to be too much of problem. Besides, we all know what weed Gandalf was smoking in that pipe of his - and it wasn't Hobbiton Marlboro, if you get our drift.
