Manga fantasies and fantasy manga
01/07/2001 Source: Stephen Hunt

These balmy summer months are still bringing us a bumper crop of tasty web sites to be picked off the vine. Here's four of the best of July's submissions to the SFcrowsnest search engine ...

1. The works of Sylvia Engdahl
Writer Sylvia Engdahl brings us her own official site. For those unfamiliar with Sylvia's output, she's the author of Enchantress from the Stars (Newbery honor; new hardcover edition, Walker, 2001) and the Children of the Star trilogy (omnibus edition, Meisha Merlin, 2000). Nice looking site too.

2. Metropolis
Rome Maynard brings you a website dedicated to the silent Sci-Fi classic, Fritz Lang's, Metropolis. If you want to know all about the characters in this classic film - Maria, Fritz Lang, Thea Von Harbou, Futura, Rotwang, Freder, Grot etc, then this is the place for you.

But rather than filling her sketchbook with hundred tonne robot fighting machines, her works focus on dragons, faeries, mermaids, angels other original fantasy art artwork She even has a shop if you like what you see!
